First, great buildings came to be transformed into smart buildings and sometime later cities took this legacy to become smart cities. Smart cities need smart buildings and their smart construction. It would seem smart too that all generated data of this process could be interoperable without being a bottleneck. From the beginning of project planning to designing, it is crucial to use the same system by the developers, contractors and technicians to ensure open standards in construction industry. Interoperability strategy and its value is basic for city planning and city management.
